Who Are We?

We are lucky to have an enthusiastic team who share a love of paragliding with the ability to teach you at your own pace. Andrew does the majority of the training but is supported by one or two of the rest of the team on the busier days.

Andrew Pearse

Andrew started flying when paragliding was in its infancy. He qualified as an instructor in 1990 and gained the senior instructor rating in 1993. This was the year that he moved back to Dorset and set up Flying Frenzy. Throughout the 90's Andrew was active in the national and international paragliding competition scene, coming 4th in the British Nationals in '92. Nowadays when he isn't out instructing, Andrew enjoys messing around on the cliffs, loves trying some of the (more basic!) acro moves and has been on some amazing Alpine vol-biv adventures these last few years.

Gary Mullins

Gary is a very experienced instructor having been flying since the 90's. Students are constantly amazed by his aura of total calmness and his hilarious but deadpan humour. We've been lucky enough to have Gary as our second main instructor for many years keeping things going when Andrew is elsewhere.

Roy Menage

Roy has been paragliding for two decades now and before that played with and constructed his own kitesurf kites. He has been a club coach with the Wessex club for many years and joined Flying Frenzy as a TI in 2009. He has since become a senior coach with the club. Recently he has added (Sub 70kg) microlight flying to his repertoire.

Paul Knibbs

Paul has been flying for ages having had his first ever paragliding day on Eggardon with us in the early 2000s. From his house he can see if the Eype cliffs are flyable and will be happily wafting around there. He's flown many far-flung places from France, Spain, Slovenia, Macedonia and Bulgaria and assisted Andrew on many of our great flying trips.

Peter Holdy

Originally from Slovakia, where he started paragliding with the DIY route (!), Peter has been SW UK resident for over a decade and quickly realised proper tuition was the wise way. Peter is now our trusted second tandem pilot. He is also working towards a full commercial pilot's license (737s) and may before too long fly us on a flying trip.
