Who Are We?

We are lucky to have an enthusiastic team who share a love of paragliding with the ability to teach you at your own pace. Andrew does the majority of the training but is supported by one or two of the rest of the team on the busier days and on the trips.

Andrew Pearse

Andrew started flying when paragliding was in its infancy. He qualified as an instructor in 1990 and gained the senior instructor rating in 1993. This was the year that he moved back to Dorset and set up Flying Frenzy. Throughout the 90's Andrew was active in the national and international paragliding competition scene, coming 4th in the British Nationals in '92. Nowadays Andrew prefers to mess around on the cliffs when not out instructing and has recently started learning some of the acro moves.

“I am often asked if I get frustrated always instructing when its flyable, but amazingly I don't – I always get so much out of teaching people to paraglide – from the first time students ever leave the ground to seeing more experienced flyers getting to grips with a new technique.”

Gary Mullins

Gary is a very experienced instructor having been flying since the 90's. Students are constantly amazed by his aura of total calmness. Gary has been working with us for a couple of years now and is in charge when Andrew is not available.

Roy Menage

Roy trained with Flying Frenzy in 2004 and a year later completed his pilot rating on his first trip with us to Greolieres. He has been a club coach with the Wessex club for several years and then joined Flying Frenzy as a TI in 2009. He has since become a senior coach with the club. He lives in Stalbridge with a view from his back garden of Wessex’s very own Bell Hill.

Paul Gasser

Paul started as a TI in 2011 and quickly showed his impressive knowledge of all things flying. Paul also runs his Greenarches B&B in Yeovil - trip advisor's favourite in the town and only a quarter of an hour down to Telegraph and Folly flying sites. In his previous life he was head of Air Traffic Control at Yeovilton airbase!

Paul Knibbs

Paul learnt with us just a few years ago but quickly expanded his flying horizons having flown abroad in France, Slovenia and Macedonia. Paul is soon to be a Dad!
